Cross stitch dilemma and a loom hat!!

I'm having a clear out of all my stash and hiding at the back is all my cross stitch stash.
I rarely even look at it now.
So I'm wondering, would it be better to just put the lot up for sale?? At least someone would get the use of it. It's just all stuck at the back of my cupboard doing nothing.
I'm trying to decide ...

Cross stitch stash. (The scary part being, I think there's more!!).

One good thing though, I got out my loom and had a play with it and come up with my first project from it. A lovely warm hat!!

It was good fun to do. I think I'll try more with the loom soon.

I've also started another knitting project which I'll show soon and my crochet hooks aren't being ignored either, so more to show from them soon too.

Hope you are all well. Take care.

  1. Wow - that's a lot of cross stitch supplies. I know it's gotta be tough to decide what to do. Your new hat looks nice. :)

  3. Dearest Sis,

I am so happy to see your comments!! Really, really happy. I hope we can all go back to blogging regularly. I will await your email, so excited to know what's up with you.

Your hat is lovely. I still do knitting here in the office. After I finished the A Place We Call Home, I went back to knitting my Madli Shawl.

I visited again your June 2011 post and yes, we have the same!! Actually, I also blend the edge design with metallics. I was not able to ask my sister to buy me the thread that it calls for so I email the designer for the DMC conversion and when I stitched it, the shade is almost similar or very near to the leaves so I tweak it by adding some metallics. Just like you Sis, I am so addicted to metallics.

If only we are near each other, I would be willing to buy all your cross stitch stash that you think you won't use anymore. But hey, do you think you won't regret it if you will part with your stash, hehehe?? Just kidding Sis! When I was just learning knitting and so into it (and also crocheting), I did intend to sell all my cross stitch stash, but after some time that I came back to cross stitching, I was so glad that I did not sell them. Let me know what will be your decision, LOL!

Take care always my Sis and best regards to the whole family.

    Hugs and lots of love,
    Toni

  4. Kim, that's quite a cross stitch stash you've got there! I agree that you should hang onto it; you never know. I haven't cross-stitched for years but really enjoyed it and still have several of my creations (from the 80s!) hanging on the walls. :) I look forward to visiting your blog again! Hugs from Mary at GoCrochetCrazy.blogspot.com.

Thanks for your visit to my blog.

You have a lot of cross stitching stash, I hope to start my first cross stitching project soon. I was gifted some thread etc as a Christmas present but I haven't had time to start it yet.

I have never used a loom, the hat looks great and well done on your first loom project.

I look forward to following your hooky adventures too

    bye for now

  6. Kim! I am so happy to hear from you! It sounds really strange that you want to get rid of your cross stitch stash - since I know you from a cross stitching community. Please, think about it twice. If you decide to sell, even then keep some - you never know when the stitchy bug returns.
I so would like to know more about how you all are doing, have been thinking of you a lot. Hugs. Agi
