Yes, the more pink than you can imagine, pink tee is finished!!
I crocheted it together instead of sewing it like it says to do and I think I really like how that turned out.
The pattern just gives you the basic idea and then you can tweek to suit what you want. So I didn't put the gap at the back and I made my collar have a small ruffle round it and sewed up the cleavage part. I also added buttons on the collar to give the look of it being buttoned down.
I think I'd make it a little shorter another time, use a different stitch pattern and also I wonder if I should have crocheted up further on the sides as that may have made the arms come down a little more instead of seeming to stick out straight across.
Also this yarn is acrylic, so maybe if I do something in cotton it may drape better.
Anyhow, here it is, modeled, by my fat bod! haha
At least It's finished at last!!
:)
I think it looks pretty - and it looks great on you. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Kim, thanks for your visit and comment on the racer back top I made for my daughter.
ReplyDeleteI remember you saying this was a practice top to see how it worked out. It is looking good and I think changing to cotton yarn and a few more tweaks would make it even better.
Have a good week, I have already starting a new top for myself. I'm using the same yarn as the orange top but this will be navy, oh and I'm making this one for myself this time xx
Oh you did such a great job on this...I love it! I think it looks awesome on you. I really do like the ruffles around the the arm openings and the neck. I think one in cotton would be super soft and very nice for summer.
ReplyDeleteHappy Hooking sweet friend. :)
My dearest Sis! Such a lovely and very pretty piece. Wish I could do the same :D I love the color!
ReplyDeleteI did resend my email to you but it bounced back. Will try again soon. Our connection here at the office is always weird. But when I am home, I am so lazy to open the computer. I just want to stitch or knit or crochet then fall asleep.
Love seeing blog posts from you Sis.
Hugs and lots of love,
Toni
