I don't know if anyone still reads this blog or not, but if anyone does, a big apology for not putting up the pictures when I said I would.
Unfortunately things have been a bit difficult here with my own health not at it's best but worse than that, my mum has been unwell and eventually was persuaded to go a Dr and it turns out she is suffering from angina.
I took her for an angiogram yesterday and her arteries don't look good, so they are putting her on some medications and then she will go back for a heart scan and depending on the condition of her heart, either they plan to give her stents or do a bypass.
So I have her here with me at the moment, looking after her.
I have been able to crochet and knit still, so have things to show, it's just getting the time to upload them.
Hopefully I'll be able to do that soon.
:)
Hi Kim,
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you have been under the weather and that your mum is not well .I hope that your mum recieves the treatment she needs.
Will enjoy seeing your photos when you have time to post them on your blog:-)
Sounds like your world is a little chaotic right now. I am praying that your mom will receive exactly what she needs to be well. It is a trying time. I know when my dad was going through all of that it was so stressful for everyone involved. So you take care of yourself, make sure you take time just for you and do what gives you peace. Hugs and Prayers
ReplyDeleteHi, Kim! It is so good to hear from you <3 - although the news are not so good at all.
ReplyDeleteI hope you will be feeling well soon and wishing a speedy recovery to your mum.
It is funny to hear that you are crocheting - if I remember well, we learnt to crochet at about the same time, I am glad you enjoy it. Isn't it just really relaxing? I might have to take out my hooks, too.
Lots of hugs.
Good to hear from you, even if your news isn't as good as you'd hope. Really pulling for your mom and you to be on the mend!
ReplyDeleteThank you all for your lovely thoughts and wishes!!!
ReplyDeleteWonderful to hear from you. :)
It's been a bit out of the blue to us really as she's always been so active and to see her go down like this so suddenly has been very worrying.
I just hope they can get her back on her feet.
I will post some pictures as soon as I can though.
:)
Hi, just getting back to you about the pins. I use those long quilting pins with the big yellow heads. You can also use wig pins..you know the ones that they use to hold the wigs on the heads. I never iron my doilies as it flattens the threads, and my doilies have lots of texture. I know there are alot of doily makers out there that never block and only iron, but I think once you see what your doily looks like blocked you will be sold. Thanks for stopping by..Blessings
ReplyDeleteI'll keep you and your Mom in my prayers for you both to have good health. ((hug))
ReplyDeleteThank you Debi :)
ReplyDeleteShe had a bit of a worrying do this morning but seems a little better at the moment.
Vikki, thanks so much for the reply, as I would like to try blocking and see the difference.
I'll have a look online and see if I can find these pins, then I can give it a go.
:)
Thanks again to all of you for replying and for your good wishes.
:)
